I think this is hilarious. The Center for Disease Control offers e-cards on their website that you can send anonymously to friends, coworkers, etc. As an admitted germaphobe, I may have to take advantage of this. Some of the classics:
Cover It!
Got Diabetes? Pregnant?
The best though:

Stay Home!

Check out this interactive graphic from the New York times. Some highlights:
Arlington: 3.2%
Alexandria: 3.4%
Anne Arundel County, MD: 4.8%
Manhattan, NY: 6.5%
Michigan is already bad, some counties in access of 20%. This will only get worse once GM is allowed to die.
Florida, California have moderate/high rates (7-10%) for most of their counties.
I think DC area will stay strong as the Gov’t rapidly expands. At least I hope so. Although it means housing prices are slow to come down to levels normal responsible people can afford.

Hopefully Wake can beat a #1 team for the first time since 1992. Duke is damn good — coldly efficient, great shooting, solid D. Pretty much your typical Coach K team. Wake needs to run when they can, kill the boards, and get Singler in foul trouble. No problem, right?

I had a chance to walk down across Memorial Bridge and see some of the inauguration madness today. It was very exciting — actually a lot less crowded than I thought. I took off in time to head home and watch the swearing in indoors. I figured if I was gonna watch the whole thing from a giant TV (jumbotron), I might as well watch it inside.
Barry’s speech was great. I just worry that he will try to attack all our problems at once. As long as he continues with his bipartisan attitude and attacks one major issue at a time, I think he could be one of our most successful presidents. It won’t be easy at all though obviously.
